North-South Missions
God in His being has the concern for the world outreach. Whenever God has and wants to do something, although He chooses a certain place on the planet earth as a point of His working, but what He does within that specific point on earth has always had to benefit the entire world. The Gospel in its nature is to reach all corners of the world. “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” (Mark 16:15 KJV) . Trondheim a city in Norway was a launching pad of WfK International some years ago, and now the vision is bearing fruit in the nations. The first ever missions outreach was from Trondheim Norway, the Northern hemisphere to Bulawayo, Zimbabwe in the Southern part of Africa: hence giving rise to North-South missions outreach. North-South as WfK International missions outreach endeavors to impact our communities, nations and individuals with the everlasting word of the kingdom of God.
| Gisle Onsrud our North-South missions director is passionate about reaching out to other nations, building and causing others to become more missions mindful people for the kingdom of God. “We must feel the plight of the needs and life threatening challenges that succumb billions of people in the world and we as believers in the gospel of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ should become the stepping stone in their lives into hope.
The Church must not be contented only with what is going on within her four walls but should go out into the streets, other towns, nations, villages, and continents to reach the homeless, orphans, the needy and the strangers with the love of the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is possible that each one of us can reach out in making a difference for Christ.”
“For the needy shall not always be forgotten. The expectation of the poor shall not perish forever … And this gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come,” (Psalms 9:18; Matthew 24:14 KJV). |
